What does this word mean, anyway?

Response ability. When we ask, "Just who is responsible for thismess?" The question is really "Who is response able for thismess?"

When you are asked to assume responsibility for something, it mightsome like a completely different thing than being expected to take responsibility for something. But the bottom line is that the question is all about who is able to respond.
Try taking responsibility as often as possible.

Responsibility is not about blame (That is a whole different matter, so separate all notion
of blame from taking responsibility).

Responsibility is about empowerment.
